Preparing Your Home for the Market

This is by no means an all inclusive list.  It is a general idea starter of the little things in your home which will add up to big dollars in the end if taken care of now.  Every property has its own unique needs.  Lets talk about yours!

Declutter & Depersonalize

  • Remove excess furniture to make rooms feel more spacious.

  • Organize closets and storage areas—buyers love extra space.

  • Clear countertops in kitchens and bathrooms.

  • Take down personal photos and overly unique decor.

Maximize Light & Space

  • Open curtains and blinds to let in natural light.

  • Replace heavy drapes with lighter fabrics.

  • Clean windows inside and out for a brighter view.

  • Use mirrors to enhance light and make spaces feel larger.

Make Necessary Repairs

  • Fix leaky faucets, squeaky doors, and any visible damage.

  • Replace burnt-out light bulbs and outdated fixtures.

  • Touch up paint, especially in high-traffic areas.

  • Address minor flooring issues, like scratched wood or stained carpets.

Boost Curb Appeal

  • Freshen up landscaping—trim bushes, mow the lawn, and add fresh mulch.

  • Power wash the driveway and walkways.

  • Repaint or touch up the front door.

  • Ensure the house number is visible and in good condition.
